Michael Capretti of Gulick Group – Loudoun “Builder of the Year”

January 31, 2005 (Reston, Virginia)

Gulick Group is proud to announce that Michael Capretti, Vice President of Land Resources, is the recipient of the Loudoun Builder of the Year Award for 2004. The Loudoun Chapter of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA) selected Capretti for this honor in December, specifically recognizing him for his leadership in the coordination of a liaison group between Loudoun homebuilders, County Supervisors and Planning and Zoning staff.

“It is an honor for me to be recognized by my peers in the building industry for this award,” said Capretti. “The industry’s relationship with local government requires as much attention to detail as the care we use in the construction of every home we build. In working with other members of the Builders Advisory Council, we have been able to establish a stronger relationship with Loudoun County officials and staff and truly enjoy a seat at the table to discuss issues.”

In announcing the award, Patrick J. Rhodes, president of NVBIA Loudoun Chapter stated: “Michael makes outstanding contributions to the work of the Loudoun Chapter, not only this year, but every year. Loudoun County needs to provide housing for its many new residents, and it needs to provide roads, schools and other infrastructure for our existing residents, as well. Michael worked to make sure that the building industry is seen as a solution to the myriad and complicated issues of growth in the county and in the region.”

Michael Capretti was honored at the annual NVBIA President’s Ball on January 29, 2005 at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner.
